London artist Michelle Baharier shortlisted for major national exhibition

“Sink” Everybody’s got one. Baharier took this photo during the Covid Pandemic, and in it you can see all the disinfectants and wet wipes in the background, as a testament to what happened during the early days of Covid. The artwork is essentially a selfie as well, as the artist is visible in the reflection of the saucepan lid.
Michelle shares: “I was capturing the story Covid was creating. At that time my photography was really important to me, as a means to record daily life”
Another piece from the same period - a digital photo collage called “Heart of the City”, depicting Guys Hospital is currently exhibited in City Meets Earth, A Creations Atelier Exhibition in Little Louie, Elephant Park, London’s newest park.
