About Michelle Baharier: "My passion is Colour, People and the extraordinary ways people make a difference to the world we live in. My first exhibition was at school age five, with a collage of a witch made in cardboard. I have never looked back. My love of creating got me into Art School. Today, I am an award wining graduate of the Slade school of fine art. My work can be found in private collections, the Tate Modern Archive, the London Transport Museum and my poetry is in the British Library, included in varriours magazines and blogs."

Michelle says:

"My oeuvre includes powerfully expressive portraits, that tell stories, performance, poetry, photography, phone drawings and digital/video collages."

She is currently currently commissioned to work with Equality works and London Transport Museum, creating work that explores the theme of people with disability in the work place and has recently won an AXIS Bursary.

Michelle will also host two guest artists during her residency. Anna-Maria Amato will be running the gallery on Thursdays and Sonia Thomas as she takes over the space to create a community portrait.
